This is the GNU POP3 server, or GNU POP. IDS stands for It Doesn't Suck. The
goal of GNU POP is to provide a small, fast, efficient, free POP3 server fully
compliant with RFCs. The POP3 implementation from the University of Washington
is too big and slow, as it loads the entire mailspool file into memory before
working. Cubic Circle's cucipop almost made this unnecessary, but it is not
free software (either in terms of free beer or free speech), and violates
RFCs too often (try `grep RFC *.[ch]` in the cucipop source directory).

Please see the file INSTALL for installation instructions. This program is
licensed under the terms of the GNU Gneral Pulbic License (GPL). See the file
COPYING for this license. The debian directory is used when building Debian
packages. See the AUTHORS file for information about the authors of this
software.
